Do you need a holiday? Personally, I love to travel. In fact, as you read this I’m currently travelling through the north of England and into Scotland with my wife and two of our children. I’m also looking forward to some time away without my children later in the year.
In some circles within fostering and adoption though there can be real stigma attached to the idea of parents holidaying without their children. Today’s blog is a video I’ve shown before about my views on that subject. More specifically I wanted to share some of our personal stories of holidaying as a foster-adopt family and how a holiday for our children was not necessarily a holiday for us. I’m resharing it because I know it was helpful to many parents before and I hope it will be helpful to you now.
So, please do watch and then feel free to comment below and share your views about whether or not it’s ok for parents to holiday without their children. Just click the image below to be taken to our youtube channel.
